Chiefs Improve to 5-0 With 22-6 Win Over Chargers

The Kansas City Chiefs improved to 5-0 with a convincing 22-6 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Patrick Mahomes threw for 272 yards to earn his 100th career win, while the Chiefs remained one of three undefeated teams in the NFL. The game was a return to the site of Mahomes’ season-ending knee injury last December, but Kansas City showed little interest in looking backward as it continued its strong start.

Kenneth Walker led the Chiefs’ offense with 128 rushing yards and two touchdowns, including a 33-yard scoring run. Xavier Worthy caught seven passes for 73 yards, and Travis Kelce added five receptions for 53 yards as Kansas City dealt with injuries among its wide receivers. The Chiefs had some struggles in short-yardage situations, and Harrison Butker missed both an extra point and a field goal, but their overall performance was enough to control the game.

Kansas City, meanwhile, joined San Francisco and Minnesota as the NFL’s remaining unbeaten teams.
