Bartlett Regional Hospital (BRH) is recognizing community members for their exceptional care and service.

BRH announced the next round of Fireweed Award recipients on Oct. 14 during a celebration event held on campus. Heather Imel, Kyle Lewis, Carrie Kline, and Megan Arsua were randomly selected out of 42 nominations for hospital-wide recognition.

Imel is a same-day surgery nurse who was nominated by a patient’s family member, who highlighted her professionalism, humor, and kindness.

“Heather was absolutely incredible, she explained everything thoroughly and with patience,” the nomination stated. “She is an amazing nurse, and I hope that everyone coming in for surgery gets a nurse like Heather.”

Lewis is an IT support technician who was nominated by a colleague for his knowledge and people skills.

“I was having some computer issues that are challenging and stressful to resolve,” the colleague said. “Kyle remained professional, helpful, kind, and patient with me – a really big thank you to Kyle.”

Kline, a behavioral health clinician, was nominated by a patient for her knowledge and compassionate spirit.

“The way she articulates the key points of her daily messages in therapy is so awesome,” the patient said. “Her art projects are inspirational, unique, and leave one wanting the next session.”

The patient added that Kline is a “master.”

Arsua is a medical and surgical nurse who was nominated by a colleague for her excellent patient care, advocacy, and leadership.

“Megan’s skills shine through all her interactions with both patients and staff, and I feel grateful to work with such a caring and kind team member,” the colleague said. “Even on the busiest of days, Megan always shows up both a patient-facing RN and an incredible leader.”

Nominations for the next quarter are now open and being accepted at bartletthospital.org/fireweedaward. Sponsorship for the award is provided by the BRH Foundation.
