PANAMA CITY, October 15, 2026 — Panama’s National Symphony Orchestra is scheduled to present “Movie Music” tonight at Teatro Áurea “Baby” Torrijos, inviting audiences to hear the scale and color of an orchestra through a programme connected to the world of cinema.

MiCultura announced the performance as part of the orchestra’s public cultural programme. Concerts built around familiar film music can offer an accessible entry point for listeners who may be attending an orchestral event for the first time.

A different way to hear a familiar art form

Film music is designed to carry atmosphere, tension, wonder and memory. Heard live, it also draws attention to the musicians, conductor and arrangements that make those emotions possible. The result can be a bridge between popular culture and the wider orchestral repertoire.

Plan before attending

Readers should confirm start time, tickets and admission arrangements with the venue or the Ministry of Culture before travelling. Event details can change, and arriving early helps audiences settle in without disrupting a performance.

Why public concerts matter

Live music creates a shared experience that is difficult to replicate on a screen. It gives musicians a direct connection with an audience and gives the city another reason to gather around its cultural institutions.
