The Libyan House of Representatives on Sunday strongly condemned the recent Houthi attacks targeting King Khalid International Airport in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. According to statement No. 04 for 2026, the parliament said the attacks resulted in casualties and wounded civilians. Lawmakers described the incident as an assault on the safety of civilians, the security of civilian facilities, and air traffic.
The parliament expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, including its leadership, government, and people. It affirmed its support for the kingdom against all threats to its security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
The statement stressed that targeting airports and civilian facilities, and putting travelers and workers at risk, is a violation of relevant international laws and endangers the region’s security. It called for a clear international stance to stop such attacks and prevent their recurrence.
The House of Representatives extended condolences to the families of the victims and to Saudi Arabia’s leadership and citizens. Lawmakers wished a speedy recovery for the wounded and emphasized the importance of strengthening Arab solidarity and cooperation to safeguard the security and stability of Arab countries. The statement concluded with prayers for lasting safety and stability for Saudi Arabia, its people, and all Arab nations.
