GPA and GTAWU sign collective bargaining agreements

The Division of Labour extends its sincere congratulations to the Grenada Ports Authority (GPA) and the Grenada Technical and Allied Workers’ Union (GTAWU) on the successful conclusion and signing of Collective Bargaining Agreements on 7 October 2026 for the following bargaining units:

  • Pilots (2021–2027)
  • Middle Managers (2021–2027)
  • St George’s Bus Terminus (1 January 2026 – 31 December 2027)

The agreements provide for salary increases and improvements in fringe benefits and represent a significant achievement in advancing sound industrial relations through constructive social dialogue and collective bargaining.

Representing the Grenada Ports Authority at the signing ceremony were Franklyn Redhead, General Manager; Stephany Gordon, Human Resource Manager; Bernard Antoine, Human Resources Consultant; and Cyrus Griffit, Industrial Relations Consultant.

Representing the Grenada Technical and Allied Workers’ Union were Troy Hassell, Industrial Relations Officer; Sean Salhab, Shop Steward (Pilots); Clint Stephen, Shop Steward (Middle Managers); Luann McMillian and Alice Regis, Shop Stewards (St George’s Bus Terminus).

The signing ceremony was officially witnessed by Sparkle Grenade Courtney, Labour Commissioner.

The division commends both parties for their collaborative approach and notes that the successful conclusion of these agreements augurs well for the industrial relations climate in Grenada. The parties are encouraged to continue fostering cooperation and mutual respect in the interest of all stakeholders.
