Myanmar’s cultural dance showcased at Hanoi’s 2nd Cultures of World Festival

A Myanmar cultural dance troupe participated in the 2nd Cultures of the World Festival in Hanoi 2026, held in Hanoi, Vietnam, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, and the Hanoi People’s Committee. The festival was held from 1 to 4 October at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi.
The opening ceremony of the festival was attended by Ms Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Deputy Prime Minister, and Ms Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Ambassadors and representatives from foreign embassies and international organizations based in Hanoi also attended the event, which featured 45 cultural booths, 35 food booths and 19 international art troupes representing 50 embassies and international organizations. The Embassy of Myanmar in Hanoi, together with a Myanmar cultural dance troupe, participated in the festival.
During the festival, families of staff members from the Myanmar Embassy and the Office of the Military Attache (Army, Navy and Air) showcased traditional Myanmar attire and jade jewellery at the cultural booth, while distributing tourism information, brochures and video documentaries about Myanmar. They also promoted and sold traditional Myanmar food and Myanmar beer at the food booth.
In addition, the cultural dance troupe from the Ministry of Culture, Hotels and Tourism performed at the festival’s cultural presentation programmes and concluded its participation with a dance at the closing ceremony of the event. — ASH/TH
