The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) district president Kimidi Nagarjuna said on Saturday that the party’s new district office at Ayyannapeta in Vizianagaram would be ready with state-of-the-art facilities within six months.
Mr. Nagarjuna, along with other party leaders, inspected the progress of the construction work on Saturday. He said the new building would have a large conference hall and separate chambers for elected representatives and leaders of various frontal organisations, enabling the party to conduct its activities more effectively.
He said the construction of a new party office had been the dream of every TDP leader and would be fulfilled soon with the support of the party’s high command.
At present, the bungalow of Goa Governor P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju is being used as the TDP district office. The limited space has made it difficult for the party to hold large meetings there. The new office is being constructed at Ayyannapeta, about 2 km from the Vizianagaram Collectorate.
