Jakarta, IO – Rizki Juniansyah is confirmed to be absent from the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) rejected a request to lift the temporary suspension imposed by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF).

With this decision, Rizki will not be able to compete in the 2026 Asian Games. This confirmation was conveyed in a joint statement from PABSI, the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI), and Rizki received by the Independent Observer.

The following is joint statement of PABSI, the Indonesian Olympic Committee and Rizki Juniansyah :

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has declined to lift the provisional suspension imposed on Rizki Juniansyah by the International Weightlifting Federation. As a result, Rizki will not compete at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya.

The provisional suspension is a procedural measure pending proceedings concerning alleged whereabouts failures – that is, availability for out-of-competition testing. It is not a finding that Rizki has committed an anti-doping rule violation, and proceedings on the merits are only beginning. The case does not involve any prohibited substance: Rizki has never returned an adverse test result in his career, including in his most recent doping control in August 2026.

Rizki disputes the charge and will defend his case before the CAS, with the full support of PABSI ( All Indonesia Weightlifting Association) and the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI). Rizki, PABSI and KOI respect the decision of the CAS and the anti-doping process, and are cooperating fully with it.
