“From the New York Stock Exchange, we reaffirm a message to the world: Peru is a country of opportunities and is open to investment,” Fujimori wrote on her personal X account after returning from the United States.
The Head of State recently attended the 81st United Nations General Assembly session and held a series of meetings with representatives of other nations and investors.
Likewise, the top official highlighted the role of private investment, as well as her Government’s commitment to continuing to work to build confidence and attract foreign capital.
“Private investment means jobs, growth, and development for millions of Peruvians. Therefore, we will continue working to build confidence, attract new investment, and turn our country’s enormous potential into more opportunities for more families,” she stated.
President Fujimori returned from the United States, where she took part the previous day in the traditional closing bell ceremony at the NYSE, as part of her activities during the 81st United Nations General Assembly session.
As previously reported, the purpose of this participation, as well as meetings with U.S. investors, was to promote Peru as an attractive investment destination and strengthen economic and business ties with the North American country.
In this regard, she paid an official visit to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), which is an important platform for various Peruvian companies that access international capital to finance their operations and generate employment in the South American country.
