The Qatari capital, Doha, hosted the sixth session of the Conference of the States Parties to the Arab Convention against Corruption on Wednesday, featuring a Mauritanian parliamentary delegation led by Mr. Mohamed Bemba Meguett, President of the National Assembly.

During his address, the President of the National Assembly expressed his gratitude to the sisterly State of Qatar and the event organizers, underscoring Mauritania’s steadfast commitment to anti-corruption efforts. He highlighted the strategic directives of His Excellency the President of the Republicm Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani on this critical matter.

The conference adopted several resolutions proposed by the States Parties, notably measures to strengthen international cooperation by expediting mutual legal assistance requests, alongside the adoption of the Doha Declaration focused on reinforcing preventive mechanisms against corruption.
