presented to international business leaders and investors a portfolio of projects and opportunities to attract private capital in strategic sectors of Peru during a meeting organized by Americas Society/Council of the Americas (AS/COA) in New York City.
During her remarks, the Head of State placed particular emphasis on opportunities related to the mining sector and foreign trade.
Likewise, the top official highlighted the country’s potential to establish itself as a logistics and production hub on South America’s Pacific coast.
In this context, the President underscored the potential offered by sectors related to digital infrastructure, emerging technologies, and aerospace activities as part of a strategy aimed at diversifying and expanding investment opportunities in Peru.
Furthermore, the Head of State noted Peru’s interest in deepening its economic ties with the United States.
Moreover, the top official explained the measures being promoted by her Government to strengthen productivity, promote investment, and improve the business climate.
In this regard, she underscored the country’s economic stability and extensive trade integration with major international markets.
The business meeting was also attended by Ministers Carlos Espa (Foreign Affairs), Rogers Valencia (Foreign Trade and Tourism), Vladimiro Huaroc (Environment), and Peru’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Carlos Pareja.
Continuing with her high-level agenda, the Head of State will meet with Colombia’s Vice President, José Manuel Restrepo.
Subsequently, the President will participate in the High-Level Dialogue of the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF).
Lastly, Peru’s top official will pay an official visit to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), where she will take part in the closing bell ceremony.
