The White House launched ‘Trump TV’ on Monday (local time), September 21. It is a 24/7 streaming platform that will feature past speeches by U.S. President Donald Trump, as well as administration announcements and updates. The launch provides viewers with a dedicated platform for content related to the President.

The launch of Trump TV was announced via the White House’s official account on the social media platform ‘X’, confirming that the channel is now live. Trump TV will stream news and real-time updates around the clock, offering a centralized hub for key moments from Trump’s past, official announcements, and the latest news from the administration. During the launch, the White House aired footage of Trump’s previous public events and speeches, including his inauguration ceremony as the 47th President of the United States.

This move comes amidst a growing dispute between the Trump administration and several major news organizations regarding press access to the White House. Earlier on Monday, Trump defended the restrictions imposed on CNN, Politico, and MSNBC. These three organizations had filed a federal lawsuit challenging the administration’s decision to revoke their journalists’ access. Speaking to reporters outside Gracie Mansion following a meeting with New York City Council Member Zohran Mamdani, Trump dismissed suggestions that media organizations might boycott him.

Trump remarked that while these channels had threatened to boycott him, they never actually did so, adding that he was not particularly concerned about it. “Just look at that press,” he said. Trump stated that the media has a responsibility to report fairly. He defended his administration’s decision to restrict media outlets that he had accused of publishing ‘fake news’.
