The Patriots (0-1) opened up their campaign with a 13-10 road loss on Sept. 9 against the defending champion Seattle Seahawks in a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl.
New England led 10-0 before Seattle stormed back behind its trademark defense. Jason Meyers booted a 26-yard field goal with 5:50 left in the game to put the Seahawks up for good.
Maye threw for 178 yards and one touchdown, adding seven carries for 47 yards. He also tossed three interceptions in a frustrating performance.
Receiver AJ Brown, who was acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles in the offseason, has been placed on injured reserve and will miss at least a month.
