Ladd Howell, captain of the U.S. kok-boru team, met with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov at an airport in Utah. A video of the meeting was released by the presidential administration.

At the 6th World Nomad Games, held in Kyrgyzstan in September, the U.S. cowboy team did not win a medal. However, its captain, Ladd Howell, set a record for the number of salyms (goals), scoring 15.

He gained widespread recognition in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia for his skill in the traditional nomadic game, in which he has successfully competed on equal terms with experienced local players.

Sadyr Japarov is currently on a working visit to the United States.
