EDMONDS — Darwin Nolasco scored all five Cascade touchdowns on the ground as the Bruins improved to 2-1. The senior running back also added a 32-yard field goal to account for all of Cascade’s points. Lynnwood’s record dipped to 0-3.
Puyallup 43, Lake Stevens 42 (OT)
LAKE STEVENS — Second-ranked Puyallup stunned No. 1 Lake Stevens with a walk-off 2-point conversion in overtime.

Granite Falls 43, Marysville Pilchuck 7
GRANITE FALLS — Beau Everson did it all for the Tigers (1-2), finishing with seven carries for 35 yards and a touchdown, three catches for 86 yards and a tackle for loss on defense. Blake Hudson paced the ground game with 82 yards and a TD on 16 runs. Quarterback Jaxx Goldsmith threw TD passes of 5 and 8 yards to Karson Scott. Jeyren Blanco added a 65-yard punt return for a TD, and Jayden Hodger scored on a 9-yard rumble.
Zxavier Rodriguez scored Marysville Pilchuck’s TD with 2:20 to go on a 7-yard run.
Shorewood 32, Mount Vernon 31
SHORELINE — Quarterback Kyson Vanee led an 85-yard late game-winning drive capped by an 8-yard touchdown pass to Eddie Hensel as the Stormrays improved to 2-1.
Mount Vernon (0-3) led 31-20 after two straight fourth-quarter touchdowns, but Vanee (18 of 24, 203 yards, 1 passing TD, 34 rushing yards, TD) responded with a 1-yard TD run for the first of two late Shorewood scores.
Shorewood’s Julian Woodruff completed four of seven passes for 52 yards and TD and finished with 68 yards and a TD on eight carries. Hensel caught eight balls for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Max Uckun led the defense with 20 tackles, while Reid Williams registered 10.
Shorecrest 24, Marysville Getchell 14
MARYSVILLE — David Telling threw TD passes to Zander Frick and Teddy Weissman spanning the second and third quarters to help the Scots turn a 7-0 deficit into a 21-7 advantage. Defensive lineman Edison Phillips added a scoop-and-score from 21 yards out for the other TD.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Chargers took the early lead with Vlad Trofimchik’s 6-yard TD pass to Kaenen William Apilado. Logan Lee Christy cut Shorecrest’s lead to 21-14 with a 54-yard run in the third quarter, but Frick put the game out of reach with a 25-yard field goal in the fourth.

RENTON — The Warriors (1-2-0) earned their first win of the season as senior running back Nathan Schlack ran wild for 164 yards and three scores on just eight carries. Fellow senior RB Michael Hernandez added 43 yards and a TD on the ground while quarterback George Gizzi put up 156 total yards with two scores.
