ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Albuquerque police asked for help finding 6-year-old Amadeo Esquibel in an Amber Alert after they said he left with his grandmother in a black 2024 Ford Escape.

The Albuquerque Police Department said Amadeo was last seen Sept. 18 leaving the area of San Isidro NW and McDonald Road NW.

Police said Amadeo was with his grandmother, Marie Esquibel, who picked him up in a black 2024 Ford Escape SUV with New Mexico license plate BZRL27.

Police said a male could also be with them. Amadeo as 6 years old with brown eyes and brown hair. Police said he is 3-foot-5 and 60 pounds.

Police asked anyone who finds Amadeo to call the Albuquerque Police Missing Persons Unit at (505) 242-2677.
