U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt talks 1960 Tigers, Troy at Mizzou, and college football’s current state (LISTEN)

Missouri U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt is honoring the 1960 Missouri Tigers, a team that went 11-0 and beat Navy in the Orange Bowl after Kansas later forfeited its win over Missouri. Schmitt recently got a Senate resolution passed recognizing the Tigers as the national champions, and he’ll honor the team at halftime of Saturday night’s Mizzou-Troy game. The NCAA, however, still recognizes Minnesota and Ole Miss as co-national champions for the 1960 season.

Senator Schmitt joined Bill Pollock on Show Me Today to talk about that 1960 team and the current state of college football.
