SANTA FE, N.M. – New Mexico’s tourism industry brought in nearly $8.8 billion last year, even as total visitor numbers dipped.
New Mexico’s Tourism Department released a new report showing the state saw an increase in travelers from other countries last year.
The report said that happened even though international travel dropped nationwide.
The state also saw a slight drop in the total number of tourists visiting New Mexico because fewer people traveled from other states.
