LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — National Voter Registration day was today, Sept. 15.
The Lancaster County Election Commission was busy doing registration drives, striving to make it easier for eligible voters to register.
“If you are 18 on or before Nov. 3, you are eligible to vote and register today,” Todd Wiltgen, Lancaster County Elections Commissioner, said. “A lot of people think you have to wait until after you turn 18 but you do not.”
The online voter registration deadline is midnight on Friday, Oct. 16.
Secretary of State Bob Evnen unveiled a new voter registration system, allowing voters to have easy access to update information, register and change party affiliation.
