Portmore United Chairman, Garwin Tulloch, says the club’s two-match friendly against Cayman Islands outfit Academy Sports Club provided valuable preparation ahead of the Concacaf Caribbean Cup and the Jamaica Premier League.
Portmore United recorded identical 2-0 victories in both matches against Academy Sports Club, giving the Jamaican side a positive boost as they continue preparations for the season.
Tulloch says the matches, played in the Cayman Islands, were particularly useful in strengthening the team’s chemistry and allowing the players to build greater understanding on the field.
Speaking with Dionne O’Garro-Anglin of Radio Cayman, Tulloch said the games gave the squad an opportunity to work on its combinations and develop cohesion ahead of more competitive assignments.
