Prayagraj: A 30-year-old woman and her two-year-old son were killed after being run over by a speeding truck in the Mahuaria area of Naini on Monday morning.The deceased were identified as Maya and her two-year-old son, Khataru. The family, originally from Belhavi village under Shahpur police station in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district, had been living in a makeshift settlement near Saraswati Hi-Tech City for around four years. Maya’s husband, Paramchandar alias Bachnu Adivasi, and the family worked as labourers.According to reports, Maya was taking Khataru to fetch water when the speeding truck hit them near Saraswati Hi-Tech City. The impact was so severe that both died on the spot.Police said teams were working to identify and locate the truck and its driver.
