INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Indianapolis Colts 41-23 during Sunday’s home opener at Lucas Oil Stadium, and it was a hard pill to swallow for fans watching at the stadium and at the bars.

Fans streamed out of the stadium following the loss, expressing disappointment but little surprise. Richard Luna, a season ticket holder, left before the final whistle to avoid traffic. He described the performance as disappointing.

“I’m keeping my expectations low for this season because I don’t think we have the formula to continue to win”

While the Colts opened with a scoring drive, they failed to stop the Ravens’ momentum. At The Hanger, just a few blocks away from the stadium, the atmosphere remained festive despite the score.

“I’m a big Colts fan if you know what I mean… they’re doing good, “ Diego Garcia said. Behind him, a crowd gathered to cheer for the team, prioritizing the social experience over the scoreboard.

Noah Marker, a lifelong fan, doubted the team’s championship potential this year.

“I wish. I want to hope so, but I don’t think so. I don’t think it’ll be this year, unfortunately.”

Nearby, Ravens fan Karen Ross and her boyfriend, Lyle Simmons, a Colts fan, maintained a lighthearted rivalry.

“I’m winning; I’m loving it. I’m in a good mood today,” Ross said. Simmons, having accepted the loss, simply shook his head.

The Colts face the Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday.
