Measures to contain prices for AI 92 gasoline, diesel fuel and autogas in Kyrgyzstan will remain in effect until the end of 2026. The Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce reported.
The agency has reached agreements with importers and sellers of petroleum products. According to it, the government will compensate the difference between the actual cost of imported fuel and the price set for consumers.
- In Bishkek and Chui region, the price of AI 92 gasoline is set at 87.9 soms per liter, diesel at 99.9 soms and autogas at 48.8 soms.
- In Naryn, Talas and Issyk-Kul regions, AI 92 costs 88.9 soms, diesel 100.9 soms and autogas 49.8 soms per liter.
- In Osh and Osh region, the prices are 90.4 soms for AI 92, 102.4 soms for diesel and 50.6 soms for autogas. In Jalal-Abad region, gasoline and diesel cost the same, while autogas is priced at 50 soms.
- In Batken region, the prices are set at 91.4 soms for AI 92, 103.4 soms for diesel and 50.8 soms for autogas.
Higher prices apply in some remote and high-altitude areas. In Leilek district, a liter of AI 92 costs 92.4 soms, diesel 104.4 soms and autogas 51.8 soms. In Chatkal district, the prices are 91.4, 103.4 and 51 soms, respectively; in Ak-Tala district — 89.9, 101.9 and 50.8 soms; and in Chon-Alai district — 91.4, 103.4 and 51.6 soms.
Branded fuel with special additives may cost up to 1.5 soms more per liter than the standard grade.
The Antimonopoly Service acknowledged that fuel prices affect the overall price level through the cost of transporting goods and providing services. According to the agency, there is currently no shortage of socially important types of fuel at filling stations. If purchase prices change, the authorities will assess the situation and take additional measures if necessary.
