ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Most of New Mexico stays dry while the monsoon keeps limited storm chances alive later this week, with Albuquerque rain chances near 0% Friday.
A few storms moved over the southern mountains while Albuquerque stayed dry and sunny.

The monsoon will try to stay active later in the week with daily chances for showers and storms that could be heavy in spots.
Rain chances may stay pretty low across much of central and northern New Mexico Thursday and Friday. The best chances for rain will be mostly over the central and western parts of the state.
High temperatures will remain warmer than average for this time of year. Some indications show slightly cooler weather could arrive by next Sunday or Monday, with highs possibly dropping into the upper 80s around Albuquerque by Monday.
