Hyderabad: The Chikkadpally police arrested a woman on charges of robbing a GHMC contract sweeper on Thursday.

The woman K Sony alias Shahanaz Begum alias Rosy (36) from Mallepally in Habeebnagar, was earlier involved in four similar cases and arrested.

Police said Sony took the complainant to a toddy compound and after getting her drunk, robbed cash and ornaments from her in January this year.

Based on a complaint, the Chikkadpally police booked a case and verified footage from nearly 50 surveillance cameras from the crime spot and the other locations and identified the suspect.

Gold and silver ornaments and cash were recovered from her.
