Julyana Free Zone Port records 93 vessel arrivals in August

Julyana Free Zone reported today that its port received 93 commercial vessels in August carrying various types of goods and commodities. The Free Zone said this is an indicator reflecting the growth of commercial activity at the port.

The vessels that docked were distributed as follows: 38 container ships, 14 fuel tankers, 3 grain carriers, 7 vehicle carriers, 10 cement carriers, 3 asphalt carriers, 13 vessels carrying general cargo (such as parcels, machinery, etc.), one vessel carrying iron, one empty container ship, and 3 vessels that docked for refuelling and provisions.

The Free Port said August recorded the highest rate of vessel arrivals compared to previous months, reflecting the growing interest of shipping lines in the Julyana Free Zone Port, as well as the increasing reliance of merchants on the port for receiving and importing their commercial goods.

This heightened activity, the Free Port said, underscores its expanding role in supporting trade and import operations, and reinforces its status as a key, active commercial hub in the region.
