Amartha 10X Run 2026: Running, Snacking, and Bringing Home Betta Fish and Vegetables – ObserverID

Jakarta, IO – Thousands of runners enlivened the Amartha 10X Run 2026 at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) complex in Jakarta. Embracing the #WeGoBeyond spirit, participants in the 10K and Half Marathon categories were invited to challenge themselves on the running track and enjoy the experience that continued through the race village. Participants were invited to explore Jakarta’s iconic landmarks, including the Hotel Indonesia (HI) Roundabout, before celebrating their achievements through various activities in the race village.

For Amartha, #WeGoBeyond is an invitation to go further and dare to push their limits. This spirit is present in every runner’s journey, whether they are chasing a record time, completing a personal challenge, or simply wanting to enjoy the moment of running with their community and loved ones. The same spirit is also reflected in the journey of women MSME owners who continue to develop their businesses and family life.

“The increasingly popular trend of running is a long-term investment, not only for health, but also for character building and economic strengthening. With Indonesia’s demographic dominated by young people—reaching 125 million people aged 13 to 30—our current sports participation rate remains at 17.5%. Through running events, such as marathons and half marathons, we can continue to promote exercise awareness while simultaneously driving the local economy, from MSMEs to the accommodation sector,” explained Erick Thohir, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia, during a brief interview on the sidelines of the Amartha 10X Run 2026 event.

In line with government support for a healthy lifestyle and local economic empowerment, Amartha promotes a spirit of inclusivity through the Amartha 10X Run, which also carries a mission of empowerment.  “Through the Amartha 10X Run, we want to invite more people to experience the spirit of #WeGoBeyond. For us, going beyond limits isn’t just about running faster or further, but about having the courage to keep moving and open up new opportunities. This spirit aligns closely with Amartha’s 16-year journey, serving more than 4 million MSMEs in over 50,000 villages across Indonesia. Every day, these women MSME owners continue to take steps to develop their businesses and build better lives for their families,” said Andi Taufan, Founder and CEO of Amartha Financial.

Along the course, participants were also greeted by several water stations offering more than just refreshments along the way. In addition to drinking water, a variety of snacks were available from various brands supporting the event, including HATO nuggets, Yupi candy, Perfetto cheese, Mad bagels, Mr. Kriuk fried chicken, and even orange juice.

After crossing the finish line, the experience continued in the village-themed race village.  In this area, participants can rest, try various exciting games, and take home betta fish, fruit, and vegetables. Participants can also interact directly with Amartha’s partner MSMEs and even have the opportunity to provide working capital funding through Amartha Prosper.

The presence of Amartha’s partner MSMEs complements the Amartha Market with their products. One such MSME is Ibu Iyus, a MSME from Cirebon Regency, West Java, who produces aromatic

herbal tea spices. Since 2024, Ibu Iyus has been utilizing the medicinal plant plantations around her home, such as the leaves of the Perkasa beling (pecah beling) plant and the cat’s whiskers plant, to create aromatic herbal tea concoctions that are not only refreshing but also healthy. “I usually sell these products around my house. I’m so happy to be able to come to Jakarta today and meet so many people. I hope my business will become more well-known so it can continue to grow,” said Ibu Iyus.

For MSMEs, the opportunity to attend Amartha Market provides a space to introduce their businesses and inspires them to continue growing and progressing further.  “Thanks to funding and mentoring from Amartha, I was able to develop this herbal tea product. I’m also happy to be frequently invited to participate in bazaars and exhibitions held by Amartha. Now, I can invite the women in my neighborhood to help run the business,” added Mrs. Iyus.

“Amartha 10X Run 2026 isn’t just about completing a race, but about creating a meaningful experience for each participant. We hope that what they experience from the starting line, along the course, and all the way to the race village will be a memorable experience and inspire them to keep going, even after they leave the race area,” concluded Andi Taufan.
