The sports management firm, BPG Sports, of Buccini Pollin Group announced the acquisition of the Coastal Lacrosse Academy in a press release, September 2. The group also entered into management agreements with three other youth sports programs.
Buccini Pollin Group’s sports management firm, BPG Sports, announced the firm is acquiring the Coastal Lacrosse Academy and entering into “long-term management agreements” with three other youth sports programs in a press release on September 2. The three programs involved in the management agreements are the Bagel Bombers baseball program, Lady Bombers softball program and Delmarva Rush Soccer Club.
Coastal Lacrosse Academy and Delmarva Rush Soccer Club will be rebranded into the Coastal Elite Lacrosse Club and Henlopen Recreational Soccer, according to the press release.
BPG Sports’ acquisition of Coastal Elite Lacrosse Club adds to its youth lacrosse portfolio that includes the BPG Nationals, Brotherly Love Lacrosse Club, Duke’s Elite Lacrosse Club and the Phantom Girls Lacrosse program. BPG Sports will serve over 1,000 lacrosse players across the Mid-Atlantic region following the acquisition of Coastal Elite Lacrosse Club, according to the press release.
“These transactions reflect exactly what BPG Sports was built to do – bring the top clubs, coaches, and venues under one roof and give young athletes a best-in-class experience,” senior vice president and general manager of BPG Sports, Steve Cavalier, said via the press release. “Each of these organizations has built a fantastic local reputation, and our goal is to strengthen what they’ve achieved, invest in their players and facilities, and enhance the experience for all.”
BPG Sports’ management of Henlopen Recreational Soccer adds to its club soccer portfolio that includes The Sporting Athletic Club and its New Jersey and Pennsylvania affiliates, Sporting Athletic Club PA and Sporting Athletic Club NJ.
BPG Sports’ management of the Bagel Bombers and Lady Bombers are the firm’s first baseball and softball programs. BPG Sports will take over the day-to-day operations as well as the management of the two programs, according to the press release.
In total, BPG Sports has a portfolio of 11 different programs across four different sports that serve 4,500 athletes and their families, according to the press release.
