A new chapter in electric mobility has arrived in Brunei with the introduction of the all-new Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV, bringing a fresh take on the compact SUV and giving motorists a new way to experience Toyota.
Unveiled at the Toyota Gadong Showroom yesterday, the fully electric SUV combines the practicality of an SUV with battery electric mobility, while bringing together distinctive styling, modern technology and advanced safety features.
With a driving range of up to 426km, 172hp of power and 193Nm of torque, the Urban Cruiser BEV is designed to offer an engaging and convenient driving experience for modern urban lifestyles.

The launch was officiated by Muhammad Clovien Bin Abdullah Timpoh, Vice President of Brunei Inchcape, and Azim Ghani, Toyota Gadong Sales Manager, and was attended by media representatives.

The introduction of the Urban Cruiser BEV represents another step in this journey, giving customers in Brunei the opportunity to explore a fully electric Toyota designed around the needs of modern urban life.
Rather than simply being a new vehicle introduction, the Urban Cruiser BEV reflects Toyota’s expanding vision of mobility, where customers have the freedom to choose the technology and driving experience that best suits their individual needs.
Urban electric mobility, reimagined
The all-new Urban Cruiser BEV brings together the practicality of an SUV with the benefits of battery electric mobility.
Developed around Toyota’s Urban Tech design philosophy, the vehicle offers a modern interpretation of the SUV, combining distinctive styling, practicality, technology and safety.

Its bold exterior features Toyota’s signature Hammerhead front design, complemented by aerodynamic elements and 18-inch Gun Metal and Gloss Black wheels.
Inside, the Urban Cruiser BEV offers a spacious and contemporary environment finished in a Premium Black and Brown interior theme.
Powering the electric SUV is a 61kWh Lithium-Ion Battery, delivering up to 426km of driving range, alongside 172hp of power and 193Nm of torque.
Drivers can select from Eco, Normal and Sport modes depending on their preferred driving experience, while One-Pedal Driving with Regeneration Boost provides an intuitive way to experience electric driving.
Technology meets convenience
The modern character of the Urban Cruiser BEV continues into the cabin, where technology and connectivity are integrated throughout the vehicle.

The SUV comes equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch infotainment display, providing drivers with essential information and entertainment at a glance.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allow for convenient smartphone connectivity, while a JBL Premium 10-speaker audio system enhances the in-car experience.
Adding to the cabin atmosphere is 12-colour ambient lighting, giving occupants the flexibility to create a more personalised environment.
Safety at the forefront
Safety remains central to the Toyota experience, with the Urban Cruiser BEV equipped with advanced driver assistance systems designed to provide greater confidence behind the wheel.

Its safety technology includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Dual Sensor Brake Support and Automatic High Beam.
The vehicle is also equipped with an Around View Monitor, giving drivers enhanced visibility around the vehicle, together with seven airbags for added occupant protection.

With the introduction of the Urban Cruiser BEV, Toyota Brunei is not only introducing a new electric vehicle, but also opening the door to a new choice of Toyota mobility.

Experience the new choice
Following its unveiling, the all-new Urban Cruiser BEV will be displayed across Toyota showrooms in Brunei, allowing members of the public, customers and automotive enthusiasts to experience Toyota’s latest step into battery electric mobility.
The Urban Cruiser BEV will first be displayed at the Gadong Showroom from September 4 to 10, before moving to the Beribi Showroom from September 12 to 17.
It will then be displayed at the Kuala Belait Showroom from September 19 to 24.
Visitors will have the opportunity to discover the Urban Cruiser BEV up close and learn more about Toyota’s approach to electrification and the different mobility choices available within the Toyota range.
