COLUMBUS, Neb. (KLKN) — Around noon today, Columbus Police Department (CPD) was called to Pawnee Park. Callers reported an individual with a gun.
CPD responded to the scene and made contact with the suspect. An officer discharged their weapon.
CPD Chief Bret Strecker said no one was injured.
The suspect has since been taken into custody.
There is no public safety threat and the investigation is still ongoing.
