The order was issued following a plea filed by the victim’s father. The court instructed the central agency to appoint an official to oversee the probe and directed authorities to record the father’s statement. The court clarified that no individual will be treated as an accused unless a reasonable offence is established. While the family and opposition leaders welcomed the court verdict and questioned previous investigation reports, other representatives stated that past inquiries had classified the incident as a suicide and maintained that due process of law must be respected.
