The event took place within the framework of the close bilateral relationship between Peru and Ecuador, neighboring countries that share a common agenda in areas such as integration, citizen security, border development, and economic growth.

Meeting with ministers
Subsequently, President Fujimori met with Cabinet Chief Luis Galarreta, as well as Ministers Rafael Belaunde (Defense), and Elmer Cuba (Economy-Finance) to address the Government’s actions in response to El Niño phenomenon.
During the working meeting, measures aimed at strengthening prevention and the State’s response capacity were assessed.
The aim is to safeguard people’s lives and protect national infrastructure against the possible effects of El Niño.
