BigXThaPlug, Saturday’s Iowa State Fair Grandstand headliner, arrested in Texas
ALLEN, Texas —
The headliner for the Iowa State Fair’s Grandstand show on Saturday has been arrested in Texas.
BigXThaPlug, the stage name of Xavier Landum, is facing driving while intoxicated, marijuana possession, and illegal firearm possession charges. Landum was booked into Collin County Jail Friday night. Landum was jailed on drug and weapons charges in 2022 and 2025.
This arrest comes less than 24 hours before the hip-hop and rap artist is set to headline the Iowa State Fair Grandstand with special guest XOLEX. KCCI has reached out to the Iowa State Fair to learn how the arrest affects the show.
The 2026 Iowa State Fair already had one last-minute Grandstand headliner cancellation. Rod Stewart was set to play on the first Friday of the Fair but bowed out two days before for medical reasons. The Iowa State Fair refunded people who bought tickets for Stewart’s show. John Waite was booked in Stewart’s place and the show was free for fairgoers.
