The sale of ‘analog paneer’ in the market has now been banned. A team from the Food Safety Department is raising awareness among shopkeepers to halt the sale of this product; previously, there was no such ban. An order regarding this was issued on August 7 by Vinay Shankar Pandey, the Commissioner of Food Safety and Drug Administration.
Food vendors have been informed about the new directive and instructed not to sell this banned non-dairy product. Action will be taken against anyone found violating these rules, and shopkeepers are being sensitized to the matter.
How Analog Paneer is Made
Analog paneer refers to food products that resemble genuine dairy-based paneer in both appearance and taste. It is primarily manufactured using palm oil, milk powder, potato and corn starch, and soy protein.
