Foreign citizens will be able to pay their traffic fines through an app

The Interior Ministry informs that a Safe City mobile application has been put into service at it will allow foreign citizens driving through Macedonia to be informed of their violations and to pay the fines. The move comes after long lines developed at the border crossings yesterday, on the first day when foreign motorists who were caught on traffic cameras were forced to pay their fines before being allowed to leave the country.

Through the application, foreign citizens will be able to easily obtain information about traffic violations recorded with the Safe City system, have insight into the issued misdemeanor payment orders, as well as pay the fines electronically.

When logging in, the driver is required to take a picture or scan his/her passport and enter the registration of the vehicle or vehicles he/she uses in our country – the Ministry of Interior announced.
