MORGAN COUNTY, Ind.–The Morgan County Emergency Management Agency is telling its residents to be ready for flooding that could cause problems in the upcoming days.

“We have been diligently preparing for additional rainfall and making sure the levee is secure,” said Morgan County Emergency Management Director Abby Worth.

They have two locations where people can pick up sandbags. One of those is at the Morgan County Fairgrounds while the other is at the Mooresville DPW Garage.

They don’t have any major road closures yet, but Worth said rivers and creeks are getting closer to their edges. 

If necessary, she said evacuations would be voluntary. If anyone needs another place to go, Worth said residents can call her agency and they will help them relocate.

They have done two coordination calls with public safety on Thursday and Friday to prepare for the incoming rain and storms.
