A man has been arrested after he allegedly shot a woman in Baton Rouge and fled with her body to Memphis, Tennessee.
The Memphis Police Department contacted Baton Rouge police to report they had stopped 50-year-old Tyronne Brazille for a traffic violation on Thursday and discovered Lanessa Bradford, 50, dead in the passenger seat from a gunshot wound, according to a BRPD news release.
Baton Rouge police say the shooting happened at Independence Community Park, 7500 Independence Blvd., after Brazille and Bradford allegedly got into a verbal argument.
Brazille then fled the area and drove through several states before being stopped in Memphis, the release states.
He was taken into custody in Memphis as a fugitive and is awaiting extradition to Baton Rouge. He will face a charge of murder in connection with Bradford’s death, police said.
