After days of scorching sunshine and temperatures feeling as high as 37°C, Malta could see a change in conditions next week, with isolated showers currently forecast between Wednesday and Friday.
While the weekend and start of the week are expected to remain hot and sunny, weather forecasts are showing the possibility of scattered showers arriving from 19th August onwards.
The rain isn’t expected to be widespread, and temperatures will remain firmly in summer territory, with highs of 31°C to 32°C and feels-like temperatures still reaching the mid-30s.
Even so, the forecast marks a notable shift after a prolonged stretch of dry, sunny weather across the islands.
For anyone hoping the showers will bring a significant cooldown, don’t get your hopes up just yet. Temperatures are expected to stay well above average for most of the week, while UV levels remain extremely high.
As always, forecasts can change over the coming days, but for now it looks like Malta could get a brief taste of rain before returning to more typical summer conditions.
Would you welcome a bit of rain, or are you hoping the sunshine sticks around?
