Ala Leo Russell Becomes Youngest Pro Signing

Vanuatu United FC has made a historic signing ahead of the second season of the OFC Pro League, securing young football talent Ala Leo Russell.

Russell, who is originally from Pentecost, currently captains the Vanuatu Under-16 Men’s National Team and is regarded as one of the country’s promising young football talents.

The club said Russell’s strength, fighting spirit and strong teamwork were among the key reasons behind its decision to sign the young player.

The signing places Russell in the history books as the youngest Vanuatu player to sign a professional deal with a Vanuatu Pro League club.

The move marks a new chapter in his football career and provides him with an opportunity to take the next step into professional football.

It also sends a strong message to other young footballers in Vanuatu that opportunities exist for emerging talent to progress and compete at the professional level through the country’s growing football pathway.
