HEREFORDS – Residents of Herefords came out in numbers to participate in the Vusela exercise, organized by their Member of Parliament Sicelo “Khungankhosi” Dlamini sharing ideas, concerns and recommendations aimed at improving their community.
The engagement provided residents with an opportunity to openly express themselves, with community members advising, questioning, criticising and correcting where they felt necessary. Their contributions offered valuable insights into the issues affecting the community and possible ways of addressing them.
The exercise was also characterised by a spirit of togetherness and dialogue, as residents interacted with their leaders and other stakeholders in a constructive manner.
“Baphatsisile, bayala, basola, bacondzisa,” reflecting the willingness of residents to speak honestly and provide guidance on matters affecting their community.
The engagement further highlighted the importance of creating platforms where residents can participate directly in discussions about development and service delivery.
The Vusela exercise continues to serve as an avenue for strengthening communication between communities and their leaders, ensuring that residents’ voices are heard and considered in the development process.
The Herefords engagement ended on a positive note, with participants expressing their happiness at coming together and engaging with their leaders and fellow residents.
