Trump’s ‘pool of lies’

The Department of Justice has dropped charges against the American Olympian and several others charged with vandalism of the Reflecting Pool. Why? Because the Department of the Interior belatedly released information that showed that the damage was due to a “botched” and rushed installation, not vandalism as President Trump has insisted.

So that makes everything OK now? No. It illustrates the practice of this administration to cover up its mistakes with lies and secrecy at the expense of private citizens and governmental integrity.

President Trump’s knee-jerk reaction was to blame anyone but himself or his campaign supporter, who did the work on a no-bid contract, before any evidence could be examined. His galactic-sized ego could not bear the embarrassment of public knowledge of his blunder. Let ordinary citizens pay the price of defending themselves to preserve his presidential ego.

If the President so quickly and easily manufactures lies to cover up his blunders that can be easily examined, would he lie to us in order to cover up his blunders that are not so easily known and examined?
