Bekasi, IO – Ipeka Grand Wisata Christian School held its first-ever IPEKA RUN 2026: RUN2RISE, a 5K fun run joined by around 700 participants on Saturday, August 8. The event reflects the school’s commitment to holistic education by promoting character building, healthy living, and collaboration among the school, families, and the wider community.
The theme “RUN2RISE” represented the spirit growing and rising to face challenges, in line with Ipeka Grand Wisata’s commitment to developing academically excellent students with strong character.
More than just a group fitness event, IPEKA RUN 2026: RUN2RISE also served as a learning experience for students. The entire event was prepared collaboratively by teachers, staff, and students. By joining the organizing committee, students gained hands-on experience in leadership, communication, teamwork, and event management.
Jonny Kurniawan, School Location Coordinator at Ipeka Grand Wisata Christian School, said IPEKA RUN 2026: RUN2RISE gave students an opportunity to learn beyond the classroom. “We believe this event allows students to learn about discipline, sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and responsibility. At the same time, IPEKA RUN brings the school, families, alumni, and community closer together in creating a positive learning environment that supports students’ growth and development,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jukilivi Sitohang, Principal of Ipeka Grand Wisata Christian Senior High School and Person in Charge of IPEKA RUN 2026: RUN2RISE, expressed her appreciation for the participants’ enthusiasm and the support from various parties that helped make the event happen.
“We expect IPEKA RUN to become an annual event that people look forward to, within the Ipeka community and the public. Through this event, we want to inspire more people to embrace a healthy lifestyle,” she said.
Alongside the run, the event also featured a Bazaar & Food Festival involving local small businesses. The festivities included performances by students from kindergarten through senior high school, educational booths, and basic health checkups provided with healthcare partners.
IPEKA RUN 2026: RUN2RISE was open to the public, families, students, and running communities. The five-kilometer route started and finished at the Ipeka Grand Wisata Christian School field. As a token of appreciation, organizers also awarded the three fastest runners in both the men’s and women’s categories.
To ensure the event ran safely and smoothly, the organizers worked with Mitra Keluarga Grand Wisata Hospital, Tambun Police, Babinsa, Grand Wisata Estate Management, the area’s security team, and the Region III Branch Office of the West Java Education Agency.
At the same time, Ipeka Grand Wisata Christian School held an Open House as part of its activities for the 2027/2028 New Student Admission period.
The Open House gave visitors a closer look at the school’s learning environment, educational programs, and values. Ipeka Grand Wisata Christian School is currently accepting new students for the 2027/2028 academic year across all education levels, offering families a quality Christian education that supports students’ academic, spiritual, and character development.
