Chennai Love Story had a strong first week at the box office and managed to hold reasonably well in its second week.
The romantic drama has now entered its third week and continues to maintain a steady run despite new releases.
Starring Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Souri Priya in the lead roles, the film has now achieved another box office milestone.
On its third Friday, Chennai Love Story collected around Rs 0.25 crore net in India, registering a sharp drop compared with its second Friday.
With this, the film’s total India net collection has reached approximately Rs 36.9 crore. Its India gross stands at around Rs 43.54 crore, while overseas collections are estimated at Rs 6.92 crore.
The film’s worldwide gross has now reached approximately Rs 50.46 crore.
With its latest earnings, Chennai Love Story has surpassed the lifetime India net collection of Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur’s Dacoit, which finished at around Rs 36.7 crore.
The film has now become the eighth highest-grossing Telugu film of 2026 in India.
Chennai Love Story had already entered the top 10 Telugu grossers of the year within just five days of its theatrical run.
It currently trails Lenin, which has an India net collection of around Rs 48.71 crore. Considering the gap of nearly Rs 12 crore, Chennai Love Story is unlikely to overtake it unless the film shows an unexpected surge in the coming days.
