Jesse Waring
White River Junction, VT – Jesse Price Waring died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at the age of 57.
Jesse was born on December 27, 1968 in New London, NH to George Walker Waring II and Gail Brownfield Waring, which lead him to hold the distinction among his southern family members as being the only Waring ever to be born above the Mason-Dixon Line.
Jesse graduated from Kearsarge Regional High School (about which he loved to say “Kearsarge-where they put the “K” in Edukation”) in 1987 and continued his education at Radford University in Radford, VA and New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord, NH where he earned an associate’s degree in hospitality and tourism.
He is remembered by his family and everyone else who knew and loved him as a kind, generous, loving, hilariously funny, and adventurous soul. He could always make everyone laugh even if they didn’t want to, and he often laughed at his own jokes until he cried. He just couldn’t help being funny.
Well known for his strange love of the color orange, his love of buoys in all shapes, sizes and colors, and his love of sports, collecting team jerseys, team baseball caps and baseball cards, and his love of Nags Head on the outer banks of North Carolina, nothing ever surpassed his deep and abiding love for his life partner, Rye Keller.
Jesse is survived by his parents, George and Gail Waring of New London, NH; his daughter, Sadie Waring, and her son, Cameron, of Essex, VT; his son, Jackson Waring of Essex, VT; his sister, Katherine Wescott, and her husband, William, of Dublin, NH; his sister, Amy Bline, and her husband, Gregory, of New London, NH; his favorite cousin, Mandy Andrews Bird, of Port Charlotte, FL; his nephew and nieces, Samuel Bline, Elizabeth Bline, Abigail Wescott and Benni Wescott; Rye’s family who loved him dearly, Courtney and David, Bruce and Jayn, Travis and Kate and Alice and Vivian; and lastly, Jesse is survived by much loved and too many other cousins to name here.
And on a final note and to paraphrase our late grandfather, Dr. Elmar Stebbins Waring, we all loved Jesse so very, very much because “all Warings love their kin”.
A gathering will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London, NH. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jesse’s wonderful life.
Oh…and one final note: Next time you are out and about, please leave an extra big tip for your waitstaff and bartenders to show a little generosity in his memory or tell someone who is blue a joke to make them laugh.
