KC-Art Media officially launched its new website on Friday in Windhoek.
The launch marks a new chapter in the agency’s growth as it expands from a photography and videography service provider into a full-service media agency.
It reflects the agency’s continued investment in innovation and digital transformation while reinforcing the important role that young entrepreneurs are playing in shaping Namibia’s creative economy.
Founded in 2019 by a young entrepreneur, Cornelius Kahupi (23), KC-Art Media was established with the vision of creating opportunities for young Namibians to develop their talents and build meaningful careers within the creative sector.
Over the past seven years, the agency has steadily grown from capturing weddings, corporate events and special occasions to delivering a broad range of creative services, including photography, videography, branding, digital content creation, marketing support and media solutions. Today, the agency is powered by a team of young professionals, whose creativity and technical expertise continue to position KC-Art Media as a growing player within Namibia’s creative landscape.
The launch also served as a platform to recognise the increasing influence of youth-led businesses within the country’s creative and digital industries.
As Namibia continues to diversify its economy, the creative sector presents opportunities for young people to transform their skills, ideas and innovation into sustainable businesses that contribute to employment, enterprise development and economic participation.
Youth-led agencies are demonstrating that creativity is not only a form of artistic expression, but also a viable industry capable of creating value, supporting local businesses and strengthening the country’s digital economy.
Adding to creative production services such as corporate photography and videography, KC-Art Media’s services now span the full spectrum of creative and communication solutions, positioning it as a creative powerhouse agency.
The website includes options such as brand strategy and identity development, content strategy, graphic design, brochures and marketing collateral.
The agency also provides digital marketing support through social media management and website development to help organisations strengthen their digital presence and brand identity.
During his keynote address, the Namibia Investment and Finance Academy’s (NIFA), Arinze Okafor, highlighted the value of investing in youth-led enterprises and recognising the creative sector as an important contributor to entrepreneurship and economic development.
“Credibility attracts opportunity and professionalism will keep the door open. Tonight, we are celebrating the launch of KC-Art Media’s website, but it represents something much bigger. It represents the evolution of creative entrepreneurs. The way you package yourself matters. You can see that the government, through NDP6, has placed the creative industry as a high priority,” he said.
“However, if we do not organise ourselves and help others understand our industry, we make it easier for people to say ‘no’, because the easiest thing to say is ‘no’ when you do not understand.
“Government can create opportunities banks that can develop the right products, and investors like us can provide capital. But none of that matters if we are not prepared to receive them,” he stated.
Poiyah Media founder Ilke Platt highlighted the importance of professionalism, credibility and building a strong brand identity as young creatives establish themselves in an evolving business environment.
“KC-Art Media has helped us to position ourselves in a very professional and branded way. We can no longer assume that what worked 23 years ago will continue to work today. We need to revolutionise. A website gives you credibility, it gives you authenticity, and it gives you that stamp of approval that assures people that this is the official, legitimate website of who we are.
“We have so many scams, fraud cases and impersonators. A website is your stamp of approval that says, ‘this is legitimate, this is who we are, and this is what we stand for’. Therefore, websites are important because they archive where we have been, allowing us to go back and reflect on where we have been,” she noted.
KC-Art Media’s founder Cornelius Kahupi underscored the importance of young creatives taking ownership of their talents and transforming their skills into sustainable businesses that contribute to the growth of the creative industry.
“At KC-Art Media, we believe that the future of Namibia’s creative industry lies in young people not only participating in the sector but also taking up leadership positions within it. Young creatives must see themselves as entrepreneurs, business owners, innovators and leaders who can create opportunities for themselves and others,” he noted. The launch of the KC-Art Media website marks another step in the growth of Namibia’s creative industry, with the agency joining a growing community of creative businesses championing innovation, entrepreneurship and economic growth.
As a youth-led agency, KC-Art Media continues to demonstrate the potential of young Namibians to build sustainable businesses, create employment opportunities and deliver creative solutions that support both the public and private sectors.
Through investments in local talent, digital innovation and creative excellence, agencies such as KC-Art Media are contributing to a more diverse economy while inspiring the next generation of young entrepreneurs to take up space within Namibia’s creative landscape.
