Parent Internet Safety Night August 17 in Valley City

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Protect your child in the digital world during the upcoming Parent Internet Safety Night on Monday, August 17th in the Hi Liner Activity Center lobby in Valley City at 5:30pm.

The Valley City Police Department, in partnership with Valley City Public Schools, is hosting Special Agents and Victim Service Specialists from the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

Valley City Police Chief Nick Horner said this engaging presentation will help families navigate today’s digital world with confidence.

The Valley City Police Department, in partnership with Valley City Public Schools, invites parents and caregivers to a free community training evening on how to keep children safe in today’s digital world.

Special Agents and Victim Service Specialists from the North Dakota BCI Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force will discuss popular apps, parental controls, privacy settings, online dangers, healthy screen-time habits, Snapchat, TikTok, and ways to have proactive conversations with children about online safety. A live question-and-answer session and take-home resources will also be available.

Horner said please join us to learn, ask questions, and help strengthen your family’s online safety.
