Amman (IraqiNews.com) – Iraq, Jordan, and Egypt have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening trilateral cooperation by activating specialized technical committees and expanding coordination across key economic sectors, including investment, industry, and energy.
The agreement was reached during a trilateral ministerial meeting held in Amman, where the three countries also discussed regional developments, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, and the importance of diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions across the Middle East.
According to a statement from Iraq’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein participated in the meeting alongside Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty.
The meeting took place ahead of the Arab ministerial meeting on Jerusalem and focused on accelerating implementation of the Iraq-Jordan-Egypt cooperation mechanism.
The ministers agreed to activate the partnership through specialized technical committees and hold regular meetings at various levels to monitor the progress of joint initiatives.
The three countries emphasized expanding cooperation in strategic sectors that support long-term economic growth.
Discussions focused on increasing collaboration in:
