Coach Kim Sang-sik admitted that the 0-0 draw against Singapore at My Dinh Stadium last week has affected his plan. The draw put more pressure on them to win to keep pace with rivals, and increased the difficulty in tactical preparations against Indonesia.

The winner of this match will secure a place in the semifinals. However, if Indonesia lose, they can still advance if they beat Singapore in the final group match on August 7. A loss or a draw for Vietnam would put the team in danger and they won’t be able to decide their fate.
