Cops to guide Kanwariyas and devotees | Prayagraj News


Prayagraj: Police officers and security personnel deployed for the Kanwar yatra route and prominent Lord Shiv temples have been instructed to be polite and courteous when interacting with devotees. Anticipating large crowd at prominent Shiv temples on the first Somvar of Shrawan month, Prayargaj police, apart from crowd and traffic management lessons, have assigned policemen to greet kanwariyas.Cops made it clear that signboards are being installed along the pilgrimage routes to ensure Kanwariyas face no inconvenience in reaching their destinations. Moreover, security has been beefed up in view of first Somvar of the ongoing Shrawan month at kanwar routes and all the prominent Shiv temples in the city including Mankameshwar and Padila Mahadev.Adequate police forces are being deployed along the yatra route, and the safety of kanwariyas will be ensured through continuous monitoring using public address systems, CCTV cameras, drones, etc. Officials have SHOs have been instructed to ensure that loudspeakers used by Kanwariyas during the Yatra operate strictly within prescribed noise limits.Adequate jal police personnel are being deployed at the ghats. Deployed personnel are asked to issue necessary instructions via public address systems, and signboards or floating barriers will be installed at various locations.Senior officials and SHOs have been asked to visit the camps and rest houses located along the yatra route to inspect the arrangements. SHOs were directed to listen seriously to the grievances of visitors at the police station and ensure the prompt resolution of complaints. All Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) and SHOs must ensure regular foot patrols and checks for suspicious individuals in the markets and crowded areas within their respective jurisdictions.
