The saga of the Dundrum House Hotel in south Tipperary has at last it seems come to a conclusion with the decision by An Coimisiún Pleanála that its use “for the purposes of accommodating protected persons and the use as an emergency reception and orientation centre for protected persons is development and is not exempted development.”

That follows last week’s High Court proceedings on the byzantine ownership structure of the hotel which has drawn down millions in taxpayer funding through Brogan Capital Ventures, and then Utmasta, the registered owner of the hotel and contractor.
